SCHOTT’s range of fiber optic light sources combine high performance with a small footprint, producing intense but heat-free homogenous light for stereo microscopy. A modular system with an ergonomic design, these light sources work seamlessly with SCHOTT KL Fiber Optic Light Guides for consistently accurate results.

Cold light sources designed for detail and efficiency

Smart design

SCHOTT KL Fiber Optic Light Sources are ergonomically designed for efficiency and performance. Their small footprint opens up more workspace, while the high quality materials and production offers near-silent operation for distraction-free working.

Reduced heat influx

SCHOTT launched its first cold light source in 1960, and these sources were quickly established as market leaders. As the light is guided from the cold light source via light guides, heat at the specimen is reduced to a minimum.

Uniform light quality

Using the exact intensity, color and direction of light is paramount in stereo microscopy, making hidden details visible and enhancing contrast to increase our knowledge of a material. Consistent color temperature, controllable features and a variety of accessories enable our light sources to deliver accurate results every time.

Modular system with a broad portfolio

SCHOTT KL Light Sources and Light Guides are a perfect fit, offering our customers a huge variety of microscopy options to choose from. Carefully matched components deliver homogeneous illumination, with cold light transmitted direct to the specimen using our eco-friendly PURAVIS® glass fibers.
